How many summer hours a week will my child need?
Two to four hours of live class plus two to three hours of homework. For the 8-week Guru At Home plan, three hours of class a week is the sweet spot.
Can the Calculus 1 course replace a college course for credit?
The summer course is a tutoring programme, not a credit-bearing course. Many students take it alongside a credit-bearing college Calc 1 course, or as preparation before they enrol.
My child failed Calc 1 last year. Will eight weeks really be enough?
Yes, if they commit to the homework. We start by fixing algebra and limit gaps in week one, then move chapter by chapter. Most retake students walk into the new semester ahead of the class.
Do you teach AP Calculus AB or college Calc 1?
We teach both, as well as A-Level, IB, and CBSE. Tell us the exam board, and your tutor will build the plan around past papers and topic lists from that exact board.
What if we miss a summer week for a family holiday?
Classes are flexible. Tell the tutor in advance and we re-pace the plan. Unused classes do not expire during the summer term.
